On August 6, 2025, Mrs. Cherdchan Arunrat, Director of the One Start One Stop Investment Center (OSOS), together with Ms. Juthamont Rupngam, Mr. Wichit Phathaisong, and Mr. Kritsaphon Sirisinchok, representatives from the Department of Intellectual Property, welcomed and gave a briefing to a delegation of 10 Chinese investors. The visit was coordinated by the Office of Investment Affairs in Tokyo.

The objective of the meeting was to gain an understanding of investment promotion policies, investment privileges and incentives, explore investment opportunities, and assess the feasibility of doing business in Thailand. The delegation also sought to learn about the relevant procedures and contact channels for engaging with government agencies involved in business operations in the country.

Mrs. Cherdchan Arunrat warmly welcomed the group and introduced the roles and responsibilities of the Board of Investment (BOI) in supporting foreign investors interested in establishing businesses in Thailand. She provided an overview of investment incentives, target industries, types of businesses eligible for promotion, the application process for investment promotion, and various services offered by the BOI. She also summarized the overall investment landscape in Thailand.

Additionally, she promoted and introduced the contact channels for BOI overseas offices located in Osaka and Beijing, and publicized SUBCON Thailand, an event co-organized by the Thai Enterprise Development Division. The Division plays a key role in organizing industrial linkage activities and acts as a business matching platform between manufacturers and buyers.

Moreover, the BOI invited representatives from partner agencies to give a presentation on the procedures and methods for registering patents in Thailand. This session was led by Ms. Juthamont Rupngam, Mr. Wichit Phathaisong, and Mr. Kritsaphon Sirisinchok from the Department of Intellectual Property.
