3-7 April 2023 - Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand BOI and Mr. Veeris Ammarapala, Governor of the IEAT, held talks with five Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers.

        During the roadshow to China, the delegation led by Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and Mr. Veeris Ammarapala, Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, held meetings with executives of five Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers, namely BYD, which which has already started investing to produce EV and batteries in Thailand, but also Changan Automobile, Geely, JAC and Jiangling Motors (JMC). All expressed their interest in investing in Thailand to support its policy to develop a regional EV production base and an integrated EV supply chain. Changan has since announced it will setup a plant in Thailand.
